Assistant Controller: – Amsterdam

Introductie

For one of our clients, we are looking for an Assistant Controller who prepares and delivers financial reports and performs controls to validate the correctness of the figures provided. If this resonates with you and you are seeking a (new) job, then apply directly!

Functie

• You prepare, check and analyse reports for management, shareholders and other stakeholders in order to obtain a correct and timely insight in the financial statements;

• You support the management in improvement of various aspects of the work processes, related to consolidation, reporting and planning;

• You support the management in preparing budgets, budget reviews and multi-year plans to gain an accurate understanding of short and medium term commercial and financial results;

• You assist in modelling of forecasted costs and income, in setup of cost allocation models and efficient analytical accounting and business models;

• You assist and support in checking and analysing reports and business processes and making improvement proposals to the Head of Controlling in order to improve business productivity;

• You contribute to increasing efficiency of the processes within the Finance team and you make suggestions to improve the controlling aspect of the activities;

• You maintain contact with the Head Office work streams and operational departments in order to receive information and/or take action in case of changes in the working methods of the involved parties.

Functie-eisen

• Bachelor degree in Business Economics or relevant work experience;

• Strong background in Finance & Control (at least 2/3 years of relevant experience);

• Fluent English is a must, Dutch would be an advantage;

• Well-developed experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint;

• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;

• Good analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills;

• VBA/Python/Power BI/Power Query knowledge preferred.
